In addition, in March 2020, the Government announced £1bn Building Safety Fund for all forms of cladding removal, including timber, high-pressure laminate and other cladding materials with a Euroclass fire rating of or below. With the additional announcement of the new Fire Safety Bill in the Queen Speech in December 2019, there is now a renewed pressure on social housing to comply with regulations and ensure their buildings are safe.
