This conference will look at the development of 40 new hospitals across the UK and the upgrades and redevelopment activity in the sector. The UK .. Read more Government has committed to building or redeveloping 48 new hospitals by 2030, with £3.7 billion committed so far, with another 850 million made available to upgrade outdated facilities. The Health Infrastructure Plan is the biggest hospital building programme in a generation, and is one that will develop new sustainability standards, planning capabilities and care and workforce models. With this investment, the Post Covid-19 healthcare landscape, investment into private healthcare and the rationalisation of estates there is a plethora of future work and collaboration opportunity for the industry. This conference will feature NHS Trusts, Healthcare Estates/Property/Facilities Management Leadership, Investors, Developers and Private Healthcare Providers as we explore the development and procurement opportunities of future healthcare estates, from construction to facilities management. In this session a host of public and private sector healthcare estates leadership will join us to discuss the government’s £3.7bn investment and how it will be spent, as well as how we can build resilience into our hospitals and healthcare facilities and ensure they play their part in reducing health inequality, during a high-level thought leadership discussion. With a selection of hospitals selected by the Department for Health for major estates investment and a backlog maintenance bill of £9bn in the NHS, this panel brings together project leaders behind some of the most challenging schemes that will be taking shape soon to discuss their approach to delivery while tackling zero carbon agenda, technological advancements, and patient demand.
