Virginia Floodplain Management Association Annual Conference 2023

VFMA's Annual Conference in Richmond is a standalone event for members and those interested in floodplain management. The conference will include the presentation of Floodplain Management Awards to recognize exceptional contributions in Virginia. The conference will take place at The Westin Richmond. The awards aim to acknowledge individuals who have made significant efforts to improve floodplain management in Virginia at the local level and will be given to a Certified Floodplain Manager ( .. continue reading CFM), local floodplain administrator, CRS coordinator, or other deserving individual. The VFMA Floodplain Manager of the Year award is intended to honor an individual who has played a key role in developing a notable local program or activity, or has demonstrated support for flood hazard reduction in the absence of advanced programs and local funding. The work should have been completed before the annual conference.
