Reproductive biology is a thematic that covers key steps of the elaboration for fruit tree production, from floral induction, flower development, flowering phenology, pollination success and compatibility between cultivars to fruit set and dependencies between consecutive years of production leading to irregular bearing. Advances on agronomic and orchard management aiming to maintain regular cropping, pollination success and fruit set are also expected. This symposium incorporates two symposia: - II International Symposium on Flowering, Fruit Set and Alternate Bearing - III International Workshop on Floral Biology and S-Incompatibility in Fruit Species. under the aegis of two working groups "Flowering, Fruit Set and Alternate Bearing" (Chair Pr F. Marra) and "Floral Biology in Fruit Trees" (Chair: E. Ortega), respectively.
