The CSA, in partnership with the Federation and University of Alberta, will hold our Conference entirely online. Together, we have a historic .. Read more opportunity to demonstrate to the world that it is possible to have an equitable, accessible and environmentally sustainable virtual conference. The Program Committee selected this theme as a way to address the broader 2020 Congress theme (Bridging Divides: Confronting Colonialism and Anti-Black Racism) and 2021 Congress theme (Northern Relations) through a sociological lens. Our theme focuses on resistance to the structural inequalities and violence against Black, Indigenous and racialized peoples, examining social forces in the world around us while remaining self-reflexive about our own disciplinary practices.
