The conference theme is intended to encourage an exploration of three aspects related to all curriculum subjects in education: creativity, literacy and critical thinking. These aspects are rooted in major educational, cultural, and political discourses, and they affect all curriculum subjects in the 21st century. How are subject matter content, teaching approaches and learning processes shaped by different contexts? How are these issues best studied, analyzed and described? Additionally, how do we meet the challenges of creativity, literacy and critical thinking as central aspects of teaching and learning in schools and for all levels of subject education? And what is the impact for the society at large? These are but some of the questions that might be explored.
