electronics component manufacturing ecosystem had to be developed to reduce dependence on imports and fiscal incentives are planned to develop that ecosystem. The government estimates that its new Product Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for mobile phones and other electronic products manufacturing are likely to generate fresh capital investment of $11.5 trillion to help it achieve its target of a $1 trillion digital economy by 2025. Against this backdrop, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the Electronics Manufacturing Summit on Thursday, 6th May 2021 over CII Virtual Platform. The event will feature leaders from the industry – comprising of OEMs, electronics manufacturing systems (EMS) companies as well as component manufacturers – along with dignitaries from the central and state governments of India. It will have participation from leading companies from electronics industry in manufacturing, defence, design, components and semi-conductors and, IOT and automation.
