They will be able to identify eight distorted beliefs about letting go of resentment and restructure them into healthier thoughts that help them let go. Attendees will be able to teach at least four lettings to go of resentment techniques to others. They will also be able to define self-compassion and teach others why self-compassion is important in reducing shame and forgiving self. They will also be able to explain techniques to help others become more self-compassionate. Attendees will be able to teach others about state anger and the sympathetic nervous system. They will be able to describe at least ten techniques to decrease state anger. Attendees will be able to explain why forgiveness is important to the healing of both a victim and the perpetrator.
