I go to the shows to purchase beads, connectors, etc. to make pieces of jewelry of my taste. Found a ton of great items. Can't wait for the next show!

Most vendors were unprepared for customers. One person would be responsible for a huge booth and lines would form to pay. Unacceptable!

This is the 2nd time I visited the Gem Show here in San Mateo after moving to CA. The venue was very accessible and there were food stalls as well. Lot of vendors and variety. The parking was a bit expensive at $15 , which could be discounted.

S & N Jewelers in Los Angels CA are very good. I bought beautiful diamonds from them and have seen them many times before. I've also had good appraisals on some of the rings I've bought there. The appraisals were done at Jarad's in Mtn View CA.

If you go, plan to have 2-3 specific items in mind and focus on what you'd like to buy, otherwise, you could be there all day and not get around to what you had planned to buy!

All of the other professional shows I attend contact me to register in advance. Then I’m sent free passes. I do not have to stand in lines. I own a jewelry store.

Though some vendors did not show up, overall experience was good. My regular sellers were there and was able to buy some jewelry. Plenty of parking but it was a long drive from San Francisco.

Loved the gem and jewelry show! I purchased a number of items and am totally satisfied with the quality and quantity of selection of jewelry and vendors. I would definitely go again!!

I found the increase in parking fee (again) difficult. I also found the number of wholesale vendors down by a lot. The selection of beads and pearls was quite limited, so I had to spend less than I had planned as I couldn't fine what I needed to buy. Most vendors carried the same stones, but now what I needed.

Just have bead vendors & a smaller venues. If There were only beading materials, it would have been better. The Bead & Design show on Sat had jewelry, but much less. Hotels are better venues also because they are broken up by halls & rooms.

I and many others were disappointed that we were not aware that it was just a bead show and not the previous show which had a lot of varieties .. We drove two hours to San Mateo and am not happy not being told what it really is .. no need for beads - good show for others bernadette

New vendors with some interesting things. Prices up, parking $12 which I find expensive. Many Wholesale room vendors didn't come. Quality of materials not as good as in past years.

Didn’t like paying 15.00 to park and 8.00 entrance fee. And an 8.00 entrance fee for my 11 year old granddaughter who was spending the day with me and not there to purchase anything.

The show was just about the right size. I especially like the WHOLESALE section. You did not have to compete with the retail crowd. I wish more shows would seperate the two. Thanks,
