"Adopt, Don't Shop!"
Gulfports Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival & Fundraiser, the animal rescue festival and fundraiser, has evolved from one block and a handful of animal rescue groups in its first year to a popular and festive event representing rescue groups from throughout the region. Activities include an adoptable pet parade, pet care education, pet services, pet food and supplies drive, free samples, training demos, a Bark-B-Que, food, DJ music & more. Each year, thousands of attendees, many accompanied by their own critter companions, make their way to Gulfport to participate in what has become a beloved tradition.

I and many others were disappointed with the fact that a vendor who sold kangaroo jerky and other exotic animal meat at a rescue event. We are all there to save all animals and this was unfortunate especially in light of watching kangaroos suffer in the fires. EVERYTHING else was fantastic...thank you for a great event.
