International Conference Electric Cars, initiative to popularize electric vehicles in Russia mostly comes from manufacturing companies and individuals, but the examples of neighbouring Ukraine and Belarus are encouraging. However, on the way to the transition to a more environmentally friendly electric transport, we have to overcome many obstacles: from the absurd requirements of fire safety, competition with the gas program, the lack of incentives for the development of the industry by the state and buns for owners, to the banal high cost and adverse climatic conditions in some regions.
