The Midlands Woodworking Show

Definitely the show to visit if you are a woodturner looking for new ideas, woodturning accessories (chisels, chucks), finishing products and associated woodturning machinery. Lots of woodturning societies and clubs to talk to. Am fairly new to the UK and found it a very useful exercise in touching base with woodturners. If you are a carpenter or joiner the show doesn't hold as much interest.

The entry process for ticket holders was slow, a much shorter question for non ticket holders was infiltrated by later arriving ticket holders when just bypassed the rest of us that were quing

The venue was not of adequate size for the show. the stalls were to close together resulting in not being able to get to stalls especially when the stall was giving a demonstration, the isles became very congested and blocked.There was not clear sign posting on entrance, resulting in people queuing in the same line for cash and ticket entries. If the the venue was larger then the stall holders would benefit by allowing more customers to view their goods.
