Next steps for Policy on Tackling Obesity

About Users 3 Reviews Exhibitors Photos Speakers Travel Deals

This seminar is bringing together policymakers with key stakeholders to assess latest developments and next steps for tackling obesity in England - looking at business practice and policy options. With Public Health England challenging the food industry to reduce calories in products consumed by families by 20% by 2024 - and as the programme prepares to engage with the food industry and report back in mid-2019 - delegates will discuss latest thinking and developments in product reformulation, changes to portion sizing and providing healthier alternatives. The seminar will also be an opportunity to consider the potential impact of the second stage of the childhood obesity plan recently announced by Government - which includes proposals around calorie labeling, advertising and local action, as well as measures to counter the ‘pester power’ of in-store promotions.
