  • Reviews

With strategic transport policy in Scotland at an important stage of development, this seminar examines key issues for the transport system - including infrastructure, decarbonisation, economic growth and Government priorities. It will be an opportunity for stakeholders to engage with policymakers as The Scottish Government finalises the first draft of a new National Transport Strategy (NTS) and as the Transport (Scotland) Bill is debated in Parliament - and with the Rural Economy and .. continue reading Connectivity Committee calling for evidence on the Bill. Delegates will examine next steps for the delivery of transport infrastructure in light of proposed changes to the planning system through the Planning (Scotland) Bill. They will also discuss how to tackle challenges for delivering strategic local approaches through Regional Transport Partnerships - and how best to deliver transport infrastructure which is capable of supporting the Scottish Government’s Economic Strategy.
