Physical attacks on electronics have grown significantly recently and are becoming a major threat to the chip designers, original equipment manufacturers as well as end-users. The complex long life of the emergent internet of things devices coupled with their diverse applications is making them increasingly vulnerable to various forms of physical attacks. A large number of companies and start-ups are now working in this area across the globe and offer training and service to the public. As importantly, the number of programs introduced by the US government has increased hugely to analyze and find a solution to this problem.
