Pedestrian Protection - Development Strategies is a seminar that briefly informs the attendees about the different impactors used for pedestrian protection testing. After that, the various requirements (law and consumer protection) are explained and compared. The main part focuses on the development strategy: In which phase of the project are decisions to be made and to be accompanied by the person responsible for pedestrian protection. As background to this, ideas and approaches are discussed how a vehicle front structure should be designed to meet pedestrian protection requirements.
