SIR Annual Scientific Meeting

1. The audio-visual system was very unreliable. I was in several sessions when it locked out. An AV technician could not be located quickly which delayed the session. Suggest that in the future there should be an AV technician on station in each hallway to be of assistance when a room goes down.2. The venue could have been played out better. The SIR PACS booth was isolated at the top of one of the escalators on the second floor. It could have been placed in a more central location; in proportion to its importance to all of us.3. I felt the opening reception was at best, Lackluster. The sponsor should be embarrassed. I recall that this reception offered multiple culinary stations as well as live music. Participants traveling to the meeting on that day are often too travel weary to go out for dinner. This reception offered a real alternative. to get a bite to eat and get some rest.
