Show Moreo a number of air shows and related events apart from playing an important role in connecting Upland, California, with the nearby domestic destinations. The airport came into existence as early as 1945, initiated by the adventurous plans of Dewey and Maude Cable. Traveling back in time, the airport saw it first flight landing successfully in the same year, in the month of May, when Dewey experimented with the strength of his runaways and tracking systems. Since then the Cable Airport Inc. has come a long way after receiving the FAA grants for the first time in 1985. Its location has aided in making it an important center of general aviation for the neighborhood. Show Less
