The Dallas Kosher Chili Cook-off is the premier event in North Texas aimed at uniting the Jewish community for a day filled with fun, food, and camaraderie, centered around delicious kosher chili. celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The event takes place annually at the Tiferet Israel Congregation, located at 10909 Hillcrest Road in Dallas. It serves as a vibrant gathering for the diverse Jewish communities across the region, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and fellowship.
The cook-off features an array of excellent chili prepared by competing teams, with each attendee having the chance to participate in choosing the People’s Choice winner. Each paid admission includes a token that allows participants to cast their vote for their favorite chili by placing their token in the ballot box at that team's table. Importantly, all food items served at the cook-off are certified kosher, adhering strictly to Jewish dietary laws, with supervision provided by specially trained rabbis. Only ingredients compliant with these laws are used, ensuring a fully kosher experience for attendees. In addition to the culinary offerings, the event is supported by numerous sponsors, which helps keep costs manageable for both the teams and attendees. The list of sponsors is prominently displayed at the venue. Furthermore, the Dallas Kosher Chili Cook-off collaborates with organizations such as the Drug Enforcement Agency, Recovery Resource Council, and Dallas police to host a Drug Take Back program, promoting safe disposal of unused medications during the event. A complimentary climate-controlled bus service is available to transport attendees to the venue, enhancing the overall experience.

the event itself _wonderful.noticed an awful lot of waste, especially plastic spoons.my wife and i certainly would not mind using the same spoon through the tasting.wonder how others might feel.soft serve ice cream vendor would probably do great
