Pacific International Quilt Festival 2024

Pacific International Quilt Festival will feature an amazing collection of quilt, textile, and wearable art from around the world. Come see the competition entries and ribboned winners, including national and international quilts. In addition, the event will have an incredible Merchants Mall filled with vendor booths, offering all the supplies quilters and needle artists need to complete their textile projects. Nationally and internationally known instructors will be teaching a wide variety of workshops for those quilt artists interested in learning new skills. No matter what you are interested in doing, the Pacific International Quilt Festival will have it all.

The room for the Workshop (Friday, Mel Beach in Central room) was too crowded for the number of participants. Work tables were too narrow. There was no garbage can in the room until we requested one. Mel Beach is a fabulous teacher. Organized, helpful, enthusiastic. There were larger workshop rooms which were much larger with far fewer participants. Our room had no designated cutting table and our own work tables were too narrow and crowded to use for cutting. Many if use went out into the hallway and used tables out there.

It would’ve been nice to have signs with arrows pointing to each of the four halls, because it was confusing how to get to the last ones especially Hall DAlso, I would have liked it better if the quilts had been organized according to subject, such as political or traditional

I learned fabric folding from Rami Kim and Apliquick technique and tools I would love a class on aplique and more classes By Annie to help learn projects and not just quilts and quilting
